About Us

We are committed to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We currently focus on the work of Kent Allan Philpott, pastor of Miller Avenue Baptist Church in Mill Valley, California since 1984 and one of the original evangelists of the Jesus People Movement from 1968-1975. Pastor Philpott is a graduate of Sacramento State University, Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, and San Francisco Theological Seminary. He was ordained in 1966.

Our theology and doctrine is moderately Reformed (Calvinistic) and our creedal statement is The Apostles' Creed. We are trinitarian and evangelistic with an interest in apologetics. Our early and continuing focus is on the nature of conversion, especially understanding true and false conversions.
